Vita Nut Milk Bag Review and Information!

About a month ago I got the opportunity to review the coolest thing! It's called a Nut Milk Bag and you can make your own drinks like Almond Milk, Cashew Milk (Who knew?!), Juices, Cold Brew Coffee, and MORE! Who knew that you could save your precious month just by buying almonds and making Almond milk yourself at home, instead of buying the expensive stuff at the store?! I didn't, and I'm allergic to milk so this is great for me! Here's some photos!

Unlike some cheaper made bags you can buy online, this one by Vita is made with a top quality ultra fine mesh. It's non clogging and lays flat to dry so it doesn't build mold and become unusable! It strains out all the pulp and gunk so you only have to strain things once! Awesome right?!

It's also super easy to make all kinds of different drinks and you don't even have to mess up your blender so spend top dollar on a high end appliance to make your own juices. I also REALLY love my Iced coffee, so the idea of being able to make my own cold brew coffee is amazing! 

AND the BEST part is, if you're new to making your own Nut Milks and using these bags, it comes with a FREE EBOOK to get you started on your trip to DIY milk/juice/coffee making! This recipe guide is filled with tons of delicious sounding recipes that I can't WAIT to try out for myself. Especially the Cashew milk one. Cleopatra's Choice 100% Raw Shea Butter Review!

 

The other day I got sent a HUGE tub of Raw Shea Butter from Adovia to review. Up until this, I had never tried actual raw shea butter before, only the kind in a moisturizer, so I was excited to get to try it out.

When you take the Raw Shea butter out of the tub, it has a very thick consistency and looks like this

So on to my review. In my opinion this stuff is great! It's pretty hard but if you rub it in your hands for just a few seconds it gets soft really quickly. This is completely unscented though, as it's 100% Shea Butter, so keep that in mind. It has kind of a nutty, natural smell to it, which would be good for moisturizing if you have sensitive skin. I used this on my knees and elbows when I tried it, and it left them soft and smooth all day. The only negative I've noticed about it is that if you apply too much it is a little bit on the greasy side. So just be careful if you're going to use this by itself.

Another option for this product is that you could use it to make your own custom moisturizers for your body, cuticles, or even your hair! I looked it up online and there are TONS of recipes for Raw Shea butter products, and I'm looking forward to making some body butter and cuticle butter VERY soon. For only $16 you get an ENTIRE POUND of Shea Butter, and like I said a little bit goes a LONG way, so this is definitely a cost effective solution to making lotions and whatnot! As soon as I make my products I will definitely post a recipe!

DIY Sugar Scrub!

Hey everyone!!  This is going to be a super quick post because I'm doing it off my phone, but I HAVE to share this recipe!  I have recently fell completely in love with sugar scrubs after trying a sample of pretty & Polished's.  I have cupcake scented in the mail right now.  In the meantime, however I decided to try to make my own!  It's super easy and pretty fun,  and in my opinion it works just as good as the sample I tried. The best part is you can add or subtract from it however you wish,  and if you have fancier oils than me or even some scents you can add those! This is for just a small amount but you can obviously adjust it depending on how much you want to make!
 The recipe is as follows:
 2 Tablespoons of white granulated sugar
 2 Tablespoons of brown sugar
1-2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1tsp peppermint extract

 See!  Super easy!  Just mix that all together and it becomes the most magical scrub you will ever use on your feet. Lol you can also tweak the recipe a little and make a lip scrub!
1tsp white sugar
1tsp brown sugar
1tsp peppermint extract or vanilla extract depending on your flavor preference
1tsp olive oil
1tsp warm honey

With this one,  I applied it to my lips and let it work it's magic for a minute then scrubbed it in and rinsed it off. Make sure and use a lip balm after for extra softness!

Ingredients! Yay! My honey was almost gone lol Also my EVOO leaked and I had to transfer it to a water bottle Lol
