Madison Reed Root Touch Up Kit Review!!

Hey Ladies!! I don't know if you remember, but a while back I posted about one of my new favorite companies, Madison Reed!! They send out HIGH QUALITY at-home hair dye kits and have recently added a new product to their line; They're Root Touch-Up Kit.

Root Touch Up
I usually wait awhile between dyes so my hair has a chance to heal up after being bleached and fried, so I figured this would be an excellent product for me to test! I was lucky enough to receive a sample to review and share with you guys so here it is! It's also designed to cover up any of your greys that might be showing through between dyes!!! It comes in a purple super portable compact with a nice little mirror like shown above and is so CUTE!

Here's my actual kit I received. It also comes with a little carrying pouch which is a nice touch. Madison Reed has the best packaging. They really take pride in their products!

My hair is currently dyed blonde from being very naturally dark brown, so honestly, it was a little bit hard to review it on my hair. I ordered the light brown shade and while it doesn't lighten my roots to the color I really needed them to be, if you have actual light brown hair it would work perfectly. I will say that these kits cover greys like a BOSS! I've used my kit on my husband as well as my cousin's husband, both of which have light brown hair with lots of greys showing through and they were GONE. We were basically amazed!!! This product is amazing and unlike regular dye, it is a powder and washes out between uses. It also kind of works like a dry shampoo and soaks up excess oil and leaves your hair nice and volumized. If they'd come out with a few more colors I think this product would be sheer perfection!!

And here's the shade I chose in light brown.Seems a teensy bit dark.

Here's a really nice before and after shot courtesy of Madison Reed. It REALLY does work this well!

And here is how you apply it:

Root Touch Up
Essentially you just brush it on like makeup for your hair! Easy Peasy!

So yeah! If you're in between dyes, or frequently find yourself stressing out about grey hairs showing, then you should DEFINITELY check out this product, as well as their regular dyes and gloss kits! This is an AMAZING company with high-quality products that you can tell they have really put care into designing and making work great! You can purchase the Root Touch-Up Kit in 8 different shades HERE for $29.95!

Here's my after photo after doing the left side you can see in the picture. While it obviously didn't turn my hair blonde since I picked light brown, you can tell a different that it made my brassiness go away and makes my hair fade to blonde much better! I'm kicking myself now for not ordering the blonde color!!

One final thought: I've been a member of Madison Reed's affiliate program for awhile now, and honestly it's the one I've made the most money off of and the one that in my opinion, has the most incentives. From free products to try, to randomly bonuses for posts, to affiliate referral bonuses, I HIGHLY recommend you join them and become an affiliate too if you're interested in this kind of thing. They just recently added a color glossing kit to their line so I'm sure they will have some good sample posts for that coming up soon!!! If you're interested in becoming an affiliate for Madison Reed like me, it's totally FREE, and you can sign up using my link HERE and I would appreciate it times a million!! I've never had an affiliate company work with my so hands on to make sure I'm successful like they do! Thanks Char from their affiliate team for being awesome!!!

Later!

Instanatural Double Review!

Hi everyone!!! Sorry it's been a bit since I've posted anything, but I was pretty sick for about a week!! Today I'm bringing you another review of some Instanatural products that I got a chance to try recently.
As you may already know, Instanatural is definitely one of my favorite all natural skincare lines, so I always jump at the chance to try out their new products!

Recently, they introduced a bunch of things as well as a new label, which I really like. I have more stuff to review aside from these two actually, but that's for later.

Up first is their Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) Moisturizer Cream.
I've been using this for a few weeks now, and really like it so far. While I haven't seen any pigmentation changes in my face, it has definitely decreased my acne, while leaving my skin nice and moisturized. This cream is supposed to tighten, lighten, plump, and moisturize the skin, while decreasing acne. You only need a little bit of it for it to do the job, otherwise you'll get too much on your face and it will be really sticky and gross. This bottle will last me forever! It's a great product for sure. One of the best serums I've tried so far, and I've tried a TON!

If you'd like to find out more about it or purchase, please visit Instanatural on Amazon HERE.

Next, is probably the most amazing Instanatural product I've tried yet! I've tried almost their entire line, but this one really takes the cake!
Meet their Argan Oil hair mask!
And Ingredients!
Like I said, this one is AMAZING. If you read my blog regularly, you already know that my hair is super fried. My uncle recently dyed it actually, and said it was the most damaged hair he'd ever seen. lol So I'm obviously all for anything that will give my hair some life again.
I have tried other argan oil hair masks in the past and had no luck. I had to leave them on forever, they smelled wretched, and did nothing except make my hair feel dry and grosser than it already does.
This one, however is definitely different. First of all, it smells AMAZING. Like this is probably the most amazing smelling conditioner I've ever used. It reminds me of this body butter that I used to have from Bath & Body Works like years ago that they don't make anymore. A really sweet, cocoa buttery, smooth and nice smell that lingers on my hair after a shower. LOVE it.
It leaves my hair feeling super soft and actually having moisture to it. It contains not only argan oil, but an amino acid complex, coconut oil, shea butter, vitamin B5, green tea, and jojoba oil. TONS of AWESOME all natural stuff for your hair to soak in!

If you'd like to find out more or purchase this one, which I HIGHLY recommend, CLICK HERE!

Madison Reed Hair Color Review! PLUS before & after pictures!

Hi everyone! I haven't posted in a bit, due to moving and other life happenings, but I am finally back, and with an AWESOME review to boot!

Tonight I am bringing you a review, of what is basically the best at home hair dye kit I've ever received and used IN MY LIFE. I found this opportunity through one of my affiliate sites, and the GOOD news is to my fellow beauty bloggers, YOU could also have the chance to try it for yourself and blog about it! :)

SO ANYWAY back to the review!
Madison Reed is a company that I'm super excited to share with you. They offer HIGH quality at home hair dye kits that you can purchase either one time, or even have it delivered via a subscription, so you never have to worry about rushing to the store to cover up your roots again. I've been dying my hair for many, many years, and have tried TONS of different dyes, and I seriously will never go back. The kit itself is amazing, and makes the hair dying experience so much more exciting than a regular, boring box of dye. Here's some pictures to show you what I mean!

First things first, I received this HUGE box in the mail with two purple boxes inside. I ordered the lightest color of blonde they had, and the $10 add on with additional developer and dye for long hair, because I'm always paranoid one bottle isn't going to be enough.
Upon opening, I found this cute little note from the company. :)

And another! :)

I like the instructions panel alot too! I love how easy it is to read and that it isn't some regular piece of paper like most boxed dyes. It's actually part of the box that you open up. The instructions are SUPER easy to follow and even include illustrations for visual people, like me.

This is the $10 add on kit I received. Basically everything you need to dye your hair if it's extra long. I actually didn't end up needing this, so I'm just going to take advantage of the freebie and use it next time I need to do my hair. :)

And LAST but definitely NOT least here is my kit in it's entirety. Every kit comes with gloves, a cap, barrier cream, a cleansing wipe, developer, cream color, shampoo, and conditioner. DEFINITELY more than your average box of dye right?! I usually use conditioner as a barrier cream, and it never really works so I was kind of really excited to get this in my box.

NOW for the results. As some of you may know, my normally dark brown hair is currently bleached to blonde. By blonde I mean.... some parts white, some yellow, some brown still, some pink, purple, blue, orange, YOU NAME IT! SO I was basically keeping my fingers crossed for a miracle with my Madison Reed color kit!
Here is a before picture of my hair:
Maybe not the most amazing before picture, but you can definitely see that it's not very even and needs serious toning. Well, I bleached my roots, then used my dye, and now it looks like THIS:
It's PERFECT! :) I've tried so many dyes and toner since bleaching my hair, and this is the only thing that has made it look fully normal. I love it! I am DEFINITELY going to purchase another color as soon as I decide to not be blonde anymore, and more blonde when I run out of my extra dye.

AND a Bonus photo for your viewing pleasure, now that my roots have grown out. Just for fun :)

SO to conclude, Madison Reed is awesome. While it is more expensive than regular box dye you can go to Walmart and get, the quality and care they put in to their product definitely makes it worth it in my opinion. Even the bottle of shampoo and conditioner that come with the kit are awesome.

You can purchase your own kit HERE and get HALF off your first order if you use code LAZYDAYS at checkout for the rest of August!!!  This is definitely a great code to test out the product if you're interested. You also get access to video tutorials, consultations, and TONS of other perks once you place an order!  AND don't forget about the subscription program. It's probably what I'll ultimately end up doing, since I'm lazy and never have time to go to the store. :)

If you have any more questions about Madison Reed, how to become an affiliate, or about the dye I tried, don't hesitate to ask!! & If YOU'VE ALREADY tried it before, let me know if you loved it as much as me!! :)

Until next time,
xX Ashley C.

Instanatural 100% Emu Oil Review!

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

So today I am bringing you a review of a pretty interesting product! I was sent a bottle of 100% Pure Emu oil from Instanatural last week courtesy of Tomoson to test out. At first I was like... Emu oil.... okay that is pretty weird, but I checked out what it's used for, and it's pretty awesome!!!
Emu oil can be used for TONS of different things. Hair, stretch marks, as a moisturizer, acne, and as a wrinkle reducer. It has TONS of fatty acids in it that are SUPER great for your hair and skin.

The first thing I want to mention about this product is that I was extremely pleased to find out that it has literally no scent to it. I was expecting a weird scent considering it comes from an EMU, but it doesn't really smell like anything. It has a thickish, white consistency to it, and a little goes a long way!!! I've been using it in my hair to bring back some of the life to it, and it really has helped. My hair is FRIED from bleaching it from black to blonde, so a great leave in conditioner was what I needed. The first time I used this I basically drenched my hair in it and left it in overnight. After washing and conditioning my hair, it was left soft, bouncy, and significantly less dry. I've been using about 6 pumps of it as a leave in ever since, and I feel like it is really helping my hair.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has extremely dry, brittle hair. I haven't used it as a moisturizer yet, but I'm sure it would be awesome for that too! I would DEFINITELY repurchase this product!!! It's great!

If you'd like to find out more about Instanatural's 100% Pure Emu oil, please visit them on amazon HERE. This is seriously a hair lifesaver product! You won't regret it!!! :) It's $23.95 for the product, and they offer a 100% MONEY BACK guarantee after 100 days!!! So there's basically no risk if it doesn't work!!!

Let me know if you have any questions about this product and I can update you guys later about it because I DEFINITELY plan on using this product until it is completely GONE!
More reviews coming YOUR WAY very shortly!

Faux Shaved Head Side Braid!

Here is a quick post for the day since I am at work. Notice the cubicle and office building in the picture. :)

I absolutely love my hair today. I originally had a regular french braid on the side but it came undone pretty fast due to my not so great braiding skills.
A girl at my work did a dutch braid on the side and it is so tight and perfect!! The difference between Dutch and French braids is that the dutch one you put the strands under instead of over when you are braiding! That way the braid pops out and you can see it better. This is my new favorite hairstyle for fall because I'm too scared to actually shave my head.

Hope you enjoy!! :)
Going to be doing more makeup tutorials this weekend too so be on the lookout!
