MaskIT Review!

I have a pretty awesome review for you guys tonight that I've been really excited about lately!!! This product is from a new company called MaskIT! They make a super cool and new, discreet, environmentally friendly way to dispose of your used tampons/pads! I am basically in love with this idea, even though I don't really have periods that often right now due to my birth control... I know that's TMI.. but it's truth. There's lots of people who do though, so I was really really beyond excited to share this one!! Here are some photos to start off with!

A Full picture of the various sizes and packages you can choose from!

MaskIT was kind enough to send me a ton of different samples in their various sizes. Here are some of the options you can choose from:

18 Pack for Pads, Wrappers, and Applicators

One thing I really, really like about their packaging is that each packet says what it is for. MaskIT makes different sizes, so they say on the package what they're for. This one in particular is a larger sized MaskIT that is for Pads. They also have a smaller size for tampons.

3 Pack for Pads, Wrappers, and Applicators

26 Pack and 5 Pack for Tampons

I also really like that they have smaller sizes that would be suitable for your purse, or for travel. I definitely will be throwing a pack of these in my purse. I really really like the idea of these. Honestly, who wants to see someone elses sanitary products when you're out in public and you have to go in the bathroom. They may be in that little silver trashcan... but still. They're oftentimes overflowing, and I feel bad for the janitors that have to clean them. If just EVERYONE would use MaskITs this would literally solve this problem.... uh... forever. lol
People should always buy these with their tampons and especially pads. Or maybe they should just come with them in the first place. Here's how they actually work!

Instructions!

They're really easy to use and I love that you just put your hand in so you don't have to touch anything nasty. I'm sorry but it is totally gross to take out a tampon in the first place. So this is totally great!

A first look at a MaskIT. Step one: Pull out your MaskIT!
Step 2: Put your hand in and make a glove.
Step 3: Pull out tampon or take off pad using the MaskIT as a glove.
Step 4: This is the only tricky part.. But its easy. I used the business card just because I didn't want to use a tampon. lol Invert the pouch so that the sticky strip is on the outside of the bag, making it ready to close.
Step 5: Pull the strip, revealing the sticky part and close your MaskIT. Throw it away!

Wham Bam Thank you Ma'am Now your sanitary products are ready to throw away and never to be seen by prying eyes, janitors, children who are like what the heck is this bloody mess, or anyone else!

I really really love these. First, because my dog likes to get tampons out of the trash and this will prevent her from doing so and I will no longer have to find nasty presents all over the place. Second, because of the public restroom dilemma I spoke about above. Third because they're compostable and environmentally friendly in general and I'm always looking for products like that! They prevent leaking and odor as well, so that's another plus!!! These are seriously awesome, and I will definitely continue using them from now on!!!

If you'd like to find out more about MaskIT or purchase some for yourself, you can CLICK HERE to check them out!!

Happy Masking!

Dr. Song Rosehip Seed Oil Review!

Tonight I have a review of another GREAT product from Dr. Song!! Up until I received this, I'd never even heard of using Rosehip oil, so I was definitely interested in testing this skincare item out!! Here's a picture of the product!!

A little bit about the company if you didn't catch my previous post reviewing their Vitamin C serum:
Dr. Song Medical is a cosmetic laboratory that originally created products for doctors, other professionals, and medical facilities. All of their products are made in the United States and approved by the FDA. With the creation of Amazon, it enabled them to distribute their high quality, professional products to regular consumers like me and you. :) So you know they've got to be super high quality if their making products for doctors! Right?!

Like the Vitamin C serum I reviewed, this is another high quality product!! I love that the ONLY ingredient in it is 100% pure and Organic Rosehip Seed oil, and that its 100% all natural. I don't really care for putting tons and tons of nasty chemicals on my face, and I'm afraid of breaking out since I try out SO many different things every month, so this was pretty much a win for me. This oil is made from extracting the oil out of Rose bush seeds, and it keeps all of it's essential fatty acids in it, so that it's a GREAT moisturizer for your skin! It's super lightweight, not scented at all, it just smells like a really natural moisturizer. It isn't OVERLY greasy, even though it's an oil, and it's really great!

I've used this product as a moisturizer for my face about three times now, and I've seen significant improvement in the peeling that my skin has been experiencing due to the sudden change in the weather here in Georgia. Apparently, you can also use it to heal up your dry and brittle fingernails, and as a moisturizer for your hair! I think I will definitely try using it these ways as well, since my hair is so damaged and so are my nails! I will let you know of my progress!! This comes in a HUGE bottle, and will last me forever! Also, apparently, if you store Rosehip seed oil in the refrigerator, it lasts much longer than if you didn't!

Happy Moisturizing!!

Vita Nut Milk Bag Review and Information!

About a month ago I got the opportunity to review the coolest thing! It's called a Nut Milk Bag and you can make your own drinks like Almond Milk, Cashew Milk (Who knew?!), Juices, Cold Brew Coffee, and MORE! Who knew that you could save your precious month just by buying almonds and making Almond milk yourself at home, instead of buying the expensive stuff at the store?! I didn't, and I'm allergic to milk so this is great for me! Here's some photos!
Unlike some cheaper made bags you can buy online, this one by Vita is made with a top quality ultra fine mesh. It's non clogging and lays flat to dry so it doesn't build mold and become unusable! It strains out all the pulp and gunk so you only have to strain things once! Awesome right?!
It's also super easy to make all kinds of different drinks and you don't even have to mess up your blender so spend top dollar on a high end appliance to make your own juices. I also REALLY love my Iced coffee, so the idea of being able to make my own cold brew coffee is amazing!
AND the BEST part is, if you're new to making your own Nut Milks and using these bags, it comes with a FREE EBOOK to get you started on your trip to DIY milk/juice/coffee making! This recipe guide is filled with tons of delicious sounding recipes that I can't WAIT to try out for myself. Especially the Cashew milk one. I love Almond and Soy milk, but Cashews are my favorite nuts, so I bet I'd like it even better. It's definitely pretty cool in my opinion!

Once I try out some of the recipes, I will post them on here with my opinions on them! I seriously can't wait! The only thing I've tried out so far is making my own coffee, and I, for one, can say that it serious filtered out every grain of coffee, and you really don't have to strain it more than once! It's definitely really awesome!!

If you'd like to find out more about Vita's Nut Milk Bag you can visit them HERE!!

Happy October! Maybe I can figure out a way to make some Apple Juice with this thing to make some Apple Cider or something!! YUM!

Instanatural Moroccan Rose Water Review!

NEXT UP: Instanatural's Moroccan Rose Water.
I specifically requested to review this because I'd never used or heard of anything like it! I LOVE IT! I've seriously even got my husband using it.

This product is a GREAT toner. I like it better than your traditional toner with all the chemicals in it because it doesn't burn my skin or leave it all red. It also has a nice, fresh rosey scent to it. It gets all the dirt and crud out of your face without leaving behind anything harsh which is great for someone like me who regularly has to try out new products.

This, like all of Instanatural's products is free of any chemicals, dyes, or artificial fragrances. It's suitable for all skin types too! I use it by applying it to my face with a cotton ball and essentially getting all the gunk off. :)

If you'd like to find out more about this product, visit them HERE!
This is probably my favorite out of everything I've reviewed for them so far.

Instanatural Deep Cleansing Facial Oil Review!

Tonight I bring you a review of my new favorite oil cleanser!! It's from Instanatural and it is seriously amazing!! :) I know I probably say that about everything I review from them.. but they're a really really great brand! I actually have a few reviews from Instanatural to bring to you this evening, but I'm going to separate them this time for the sake of organization.

This oil is super gentle and removes every single bit of makeup. It leaves your skin feeling super soft and refreshed without feeling overly oily. One thing I did notice is that at first it kind of broke me out a little bit, but once I got past that, it left me completely acne and blackhead free.
I'm really glad they added this to their line too, because I already use them for pretty much everything. The bottle is pretty big too which is another bonus.
For those of you who haven't tried oil cleansing yet, it's pretty easy. The way I do it, is I use about four pumps into my dry hands and rub it into my face in circular motions. Then once I feel like its nice and in there and all my eyeliner is gone, I wash it off. BOOM done. I usually follow with some soft of serum and moisturizer too.
One MAJOR benefit of an oil cleanse vs. regular soaps is that they don't disturb the pH balance of your face. Leaving everything as it's supposed to be naturally.
This Cleansing oil has a TON of different oils in it too such as:
+ Jojoba Oil
+ Olive Oil
+ Lavendar Essential Oil
+ Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil
+ Tamanu Oil
+ Hemp Oil
+ Sea Buckthorn Oil
+ Geranium Essential Oil
To find out more or to purchase you can visit them HERE!

More reviews later!!

Eco At Heart Stainless Steel Drinking Straws Review AND GIVEAWAY!!

So the other day I got approved to test and review something that I have been wanting to try for basically EVER. I am SO SO SO excited to bring you this review because they are AMAZING!!!!!!

Today I want to tell you about these BRAND new Stainless Steel Straws from Eco at Heart. I, personally, am a straw junkie. Ever since I was a little kid I have hoarded straws. I love them. I use them in all of my drinks, so basically this was the perfect campaign for me to be a part of!!
Here's some pictures provided by the company for your viewing pleasure! :)

I seriously love these things. It is such a better and GREENER option than using regular hoarded plastic straws. PLUS you can even FREEZE them to keep your drink cold!! How awesome is that?!?! They are quite large, which makes them PERFECT for smoothies and milkshakes and other thick drinks. I use them in everything though. AND my favorite part is, and this may sound silly, but they even come with a brush to clean them with. WE ALL KNOW how hard it is to clean out straws... lol :D These are amazing, EPIC, GENIUS! And if the package I received wasn't going to last me FOREVER, I'd purchase a zillion more. I love them! AND to top it off they come with a free Ebook full of awesome recipes!!! :D What more can a smoothie/energy drink/frappuccino lover want?

I love them so much I made my own special picture in photoshop!
 LOL

Halloween Drip Nails!

Time for some easy peasy nail art everyone!!!
Nail drippies are one of my favorites because they are so ridiculously easy and look really cool no matter what colors you use. You could do blood drips with white and red too with this same technique.

For this tutorial I used:
Julep - Adrianna
Sally Hansen - Black Out
Random Nightlights glow in the dark polish from Sally's mentioned in another post

Start out by painting your nails whatever solid color you are using. This is really obvious but for the sake of this being a tutorial I will say it. :)
Allow that to dry for a bit and then add your glow in the dark topper. I used two coats of mine just to make sure they glowed really nicely and had a lot of glitter. :)
Once that is dry, you get a dotting tool, pen, bobby pin, toothpick, whatever you have thats roundish on the end and start in the middle of your nail and make a dot. You then drag it upward toward the tip of your nail and repeat this as many times as you want on your nail to make the dripping paint.

When you're done it should look something like this:

The last step is to paint a line across the tips of your nails. You can do this as thick as you want. Mine is pretty thin and is just like a french mani tip.

See how easy it is!! I may do blood drips next and I'll add a picture of it! :)

And here comes the best part!
I swear if I could find more of this stuff I'd buy a million bottles!! It glows like crazy!!!

Julep Maven October Bombshell Unboxing!

For those of you who don't know what the Julep Maven program is, its a month polish subscription box with different style profiles. You receive either 2 polishes and one beauty product, two beauty products, or three polishes for $19.99 a month. It's usually hit or miss with me but lately I have been loving what they have!!
If you want to sign up you can use my referral link HERE and use the code "FREEBOX" to get your first box for free. They also give you the option of adding additional polishes on for like... $4.99 which is super cheap! That's how I ended up with almost 100 lovely Juleps in my collection. :)

I was so excited to receive my October Julep box today. I want to apologize in advance that I took the majority of these photos with my cell phone in my car. I couldn't contain myself any longer!!! This box is so awesome. Not only was it free but I love every single thing in it. I only wish I had ordered some add ons... especially Casper... which glows in the dark...

ANYWAYS here is my October Maven box this month!!!

Julep did a pretty bad job wrapping up my goodies this month... but that okay. It's what's inside that counts right?

And here's what it looked like without the tissue paper.

I received the Bombshell box this month, which is the one the quiz picked out for me... I'd say its pretty accurate. Bombshell is usually what I order.

This months Bombshell Maven box came with their Kajal eye glider (eyeliner) in a dual ended pencil in brown and black, a "black latex" color called Cleopatra, and a greenish teal microglitter color called Valerie which I've heard has been for sale at Sephora for awhile. They also added a little bag of candy corn which I love so that is pretty great too.

Not going to lie I was a little on the fence about the whole nailpolish maker making an eyeliner thing... but I actually really like what I see so far with this liner. I'm a bit of an eyeliner snob as you've probably noticed and I usually only use gel and liquid, but the Kajal liner I received is nice and dark and goes on really smooth. I only wish we could have chosen between brown and black and not gotten a dual pencil. I never use brown liner. Only black.
It also came with what Julep has deemed "the best sharpener they've ever used" but I haven't used it yet. I don't really see what could be so special about it.... :)

See how nice and rich the colors are?! So excited to use it for work tomorrow.

Here's another swatch picture for you.

This is really the only picture I took that properly shows all the shimmer in Valerie.. It's a really really pretty greenish teal color with lots of different colored shimmer. It only took two coats on my toes to be fully opaque.

Without flash
With flash

And overcast outside

Maybe I'm missing something here but I'm pretty sure Cleopatra is just a matte black. Either way I'm really in love with it. It went on sooo smooth and again, two coats and it was totally opaque. Clean up was super easy and it dried really fast. Cleopatra is going to be a great color for Fall/Halloween for me.

Here is Cleopatra with Valerie dots as an accent... but you can't really see them. Both great colors though, just not so much together :)

And here is it again wish flash for you!

So that is my October Bombshell box. Overall it is super great and I will try out the eyeliner for real tomorrow and type up a little review of it!!! :) Have a good night and don't forget to follow us on here and on Facebook!!
