YSL VoxBox Unboxing and Review!

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of receiving a very special and quite frankly, AWESOME VoxBox from Influenster. As many of you know, I LOVE VoxBoxes and I LOVE makeup, so this was a total win for me. This is the first VoxBox I've gotten that was dedicated to just makeup too, so it was double awesome. Yes everyone, meet my Yves Saint Laurent Mascara VoxBox!

The product I received is Yves Saint Laurent's Volume Effet Faux Cils Mascara in high density black. I'd never tried this brand before, but had heard great things since it's such an iconic, high end brand and was thrilled to have the opportunity to try it. I'm usually hesitant to buy really expensive high end makeup without having tried something from the brand first, so this was a win win for me.

Apparently, this is their original formula mascara that they have brought back. My opinion is that it is basically the best mascara I've ever used. I received it like right after I had just bought some Kat Von D mascara that I was loving, and it immediately took the place of it. This mascara has a beautiful black, black color and you can layer the hell out of it without any clumping whatsoever. I generally use like at least three layers of mascara every time I apply it, so this is perfect for me! It also lasts ALL DAY long and doesn't like flake off onto your face. Even though it lasts all day, it is quite easy to remove with a little eye makeup remover which is awesome too.

Here's a photo of my results!

I probably should have tweezed my eyebrows before I took this huh? LOL Anyway, you can see here that there is no visible clumping and no fall out! My lashes are wonderfully voluminous without looking too heavy in my opinion!

I'm definitely interested in trying more products from Yves Saint Laurent now that I've tried this. Especially the eyeshadow and blush they are advertising with this VoxBox! I wish I'd received some for sure to go with this fabulous mascara!

AND if anyone has any product suggestions from this line, feel free to let me know! If you have any questions, or want a referral to Influenster, don't hesitate to ask! I love comments!

February 2015 Birchbox Unboxing and Review!

Hi guys!  So I'm back from a pretty big unexpected hiatus and also a hiatus from subscription box reviews!!!!  I basically love them, and decided for my birthday to resubscribe to Birchbox for a bit!

For those of you who don't already know, Birchbox is a monthly subscription box that sends you 4-6 beauty, makeup, skincare, and lifestyle samples (sometimes even full-size!)  every month!  You also get points that you can redeem in their store for full-size versions of whatever you want, special boxes, gift subscriptions, etc. I LOVE their point system and it's one of the reasons I chose to resubscribe to BB over Ipsy. If you'd like to sign up or check them out, please, please use my referral link HERE!

On to the review!
This month was freaking wonderful in Birchbox land. I seriously couldn't have gotten a better box and everything I got will be used and perfectly matches my preferences. All my samples are decently sized too. Yes, no sucky foil packets for this lady! :)

First looks:

Everything all neatly packed and whatnot as usual.
I spy a FULL SIZE sample. ;D

Here's the card with my sample information & full size product prices. If anyone's interested. :)

Poppy Austin Green Tea and Vitamin C Eye Brightening Moisturizer review

Hey guys!  I've been on a bit of a beauty hiatus,  but I'm back and ready to get my blog on!
To welcome me back to the land of beauty Ashley so kindly informed me of my LOVELY eye bags. Having a teenager will do this to a girl.... So to help me out a little bit she had me use this wonderful eye brightening green tea and vitamin C cream by Poppy Austin.

Retail Value: $75.55

Now I'm not one to use this kind of thing. Lotions and such usually break me out REALLY bad or go 100% in the opposite direction and dry my face out like the Sahara desert, but I gave it a shot. My eyes also seem to be rather sensitive to things as I can't even use eye primer. Aaaaaand I might've been a little skeptical about it.... Since I've never really used anything like this I just wasn't sure what kind of results to expect.

I used just a pea sized amount and rubbed it underneath my eyes (to the top of my cheekbone) and around the top of my eye (to my eyebrow). I waited just a few minutes before checking to see if I could tell a difference and I was pleasantly surprised! My bags had already started to go away and the dark circles started to lighten up.  I waited about 15-20 more minutes and they were barely noticeable.
I really hadn't expected that drastic of a change so fast. I was also impressed with how it didn't break me out or dry my face out and even better it didn't irritate my eyes! I seriously had to refrain from using it all over my face! I'd say this cream is worth purchasing if you're prone to those pesky bags.

If you're having trouble with dark circles or any puffiness under your eyes, I highly HIGHLY recommend checking this product out!! CLICK HERE for more information or to buy it on Amazon! PLUS it's on sale right now for only $22.55, which is an awesome deal for such a high quality product that works great on sensitive skin!

Later!

Dot & Dot Small Packing Organizer Review!

Today I'm bringing you a review of some awesome packing organizers that I received awhile ago and have been meaning to review! They're from a company called Dot & Dot and they are wonderful!!
Here's a picture for your reference:

The ones I actually received are the Slim cubes. Here's a photo of one of them in action.

I recently had to pack up my entire life into a Uhaul, and these organizers have saved my makeup life. I used them to separate out all of my makeup out and they've made it super easy to carry it all around where ever I need to go. They're really well made and a zipper that can go anyway you need it to, and you can stack them up neatly into a suitcase if need be.

Anyone who travels often or has a big trip coming up definitely needs to get a set of these for all the small things they need to carry! I would definitely purchase more of these in another size to organize more stuff in!! Aside from carrying around my makeup, before I had to move I used them just to store things and it made it so much easier to find everything!

You can check them out on Amazon HERE. They come in tons of colors like red, pink, green, black, and blue and only cost $24.97 for a set of 4! These are great!!!

Until later,

CrowdTap Kleenex Review!

Recently, I was given the opportunity to try out two different kinds of Kleenex via Crowd Tap to review!! If you guys don't know what Crowd Tap is, it's basically an awesome site that you can team up with brands and do small tasks, that will sometimes (for me it's been pretty frequent!) get you in the running to win monthly prizes (gift cards, free stuff, etc.) or even get free samples to try out!! It's quickly becoming one of my favorite sites to get free stuff to blog about/review, and I have a couple packages on the way right now!

If you'd like to sign up for CrowdTap, which I HIGHLY recommend to everyone, you can do so by clicking this link HERE! It's FREE and there are tons of brands, which is great if you're a blogger!

ANYWAY! So I received two fullsize boxes of Kleenex to give my opinion on. I received a box of Kleenex with Lotion, which I already use and love, and also a box of Kleenex Anti-Viral!

I've been using Kleenex brand tissues with lotion for years and love them! When you're sick these are great because they don't make your nose hurt if you're blowing it all the time! I also like to use them for removing eye makeup, since they are less harsh than regular paper tissues. These are super strong too, so they don't tear up if they get wet!

The Anti-viral tissues are new to me and I love the concept! With the flu going around like crazy, I really like the idea of these. As for if they really work or not, I have no idea of really knowing. However, I am currently residing in a house full of people who have been sick lately, and I haven't gotten sick yet! *Knock on wood* These are also high quality, very durable tissues!!! I recommend Kleenex to EVERYONE! They're the only brand of tissues I buy! I wish they'd combine lotion and anti-viral together to make one BADA** Tissue product!

PLUS!! I have a coupon to share with you guys from CrowdTap!
CLICK HERE for the printable coupon to save $1.50 off any two boxes of Kleenex tissues!!

See you guys later with more reviews!! Happy 2015!
